Hello, I am new in the Forum and was wondering if anyone has used donor 4046. I see people talking about the sperm count...where do you find that information in the donor's profile?

Sperm count is not in the profile. You find it out at the doctor's office once you use a sample. But Fairfax guarantees 10MM in each sample

Thank you for replying. Do you know of anyone who has used this donor?

I am still wondering if anyone out there have used donor 4046? No pregnancy reported but his vials sell very fast...any successful pregnancy from this donor?

Marthur,
Just wondering if you did end up using donor 4046 and if you had requested his lifetime photo? -
Hello gemamsdv,
Yes, I did use it last october and got pregnant but there was no heartbeat at 6 weeks so had to get a D&C. I do have the lifetime series. Did you use the same donor? how did it go? I am hoping to try again in March -
Marthur,
I's so sorry to hear that. I hope you are blessed with the next try. I was debating between that donor, donor 4120 and donor 4215. I have to decide by next month, but it is so difficult. -
Is it the first time you do it? It is hard to make the decision and it can also get expensive when you have to try more than once
...I am just trying to save the money now to try again.

Yes, it is my first time doing it. I had a tumor in my left ovary and tube when I was 13 so it was removed and then partial of my right ovary was removed due to two cysts two years. So I decided I couldn't affort to let time pass me by. I got the estimate from my doctor and I'm aware of how expensive it can be!

Well, I wish you luck! Let me know if you chose Donor 4046 and how it goes...I would like to know if anyone here has gotten pregnant using him with a sucessfull pregnancy
-
He looked good to me too, but I noticed that he got a tattoo. From what I have read Fairfax tests at time of donation and at the six month mark for bloodborne stuff, but it made me hesitate that someone actively donating sperm would have a person without a medical background break the skin with a needle.
-
If the donor gets a tattoo while in the program and had it done using sterile instruments they are allowed to continue to donate. Any infectious disease would be detected during the physicals that occur every 6 months or in the required blood work. All vials are in quarantine for a minimum of 6 months and require a blood draw with all acceptable results to be released.

I may be interested on buying it.

I'm like you...used this donor and got pregnant last June and around 9 wks no heartbeat:(

I am sorry to hear that. Are you going to try again? I did another IUI with same donor but the result was negative
