Congratulations on your son - and on getting pregnant so quickly! Mine took 8 tries for the first (at 38 - gave birth at 39, and 5 tries for the second at 40 - gave birth at 41. I almost wonder if the viles I gave back to the bank after my second was born are the ones you got - because I don't think this donor has been active for a while. Maybe not - he seemed to have "retired" around 2009, but then was active again at some point after that.

I am a single mom by choice - are you too?

Gtindall - I was lucky enough to get pregnant via IUI, but it took me quite a few tries - 13 total for two pregnancies. I'm a single mom by choice too and yes I was happy not to incur the cost of doing IVF - I was about to go there when pregnancy #1 happened.

I have two girls so it looks like you and the other couple balance that out with two boys. I wonder if there are many others out there. How old is your son now? My girls are almost 7 & 5 (will be 7 in January and 5 in March).
