IUI is truly a game of chance and IVF does tend to have a better outcome because you know on day 1 those eggs WILL get fertilized unless their quality does not allow for fertilization. I have not done mini or micro IVF because of my age but I do know it's available at some clinics. Depending on your age and how many children you want and whether or not you plan to do any testing (PGS, PGD, CGH, etc.) will determine on if you should do full blown IVF or mini/micro. If you're planning for a family of more than one I'd definitely do full blown IVF because if you're lucky the first go round with embryos to freeze, once you're ready to add a sibling it will be much easier. My thoughts are that I'd just do full blown IVF unless you had an antral follicle count of like 20 or 30 (that means you'd still have quite a few targets) but keep in mind every follicle does not contain an egg and you can have empty follicles. If you're over 35 and trying just go for it! One other thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't always work on the first shot so you will want to give yourself the best shot in the event you have to try twice and again having frozen embryos to work with will make it that much easier
