Hi ladies,
I was just wondering if anyone has heard of or tried Mini or Micro-IVF? If you have tried it, did it work and what was the cost of it? I have PCOS and have tried four rounds of IUI all resulting in BFN's. The first one I tried was a natural cycle with no monitoring and used ovulation kits, the second one I used 50mg of clomid and OPK and got a positive OPK the day before my ultrasound so I skipped the ultrasound and had the IUI, the third time I used 100mg of clomid and got a positive OPK test on the fourth of July (before my scheduled ultrasound again) and had the IUI the next time. This last time I used 100mg of Clomid and had my ultrasound on cycle day 10 and had a 16mm follicle as a dominant follicle. I triggered with Ovidrel the next night and 36 hours later had the IUI. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?? All responses would be greatly appreciated. I'm so upset over this last try because I felt like it might have finally worked.

I'm not sure what the difference is. Actually never heard of it called by anything else but IVF. We will be starting down the IVF process next cycle...

Well I spoke to the doctor and they don't even do the mini-ivf at the place I go to. So I need to do 8 more IUI's out of pocket before my insurance would cover IVF. I guess I need to try something else besides clomid and ask about injectables maybe?

dreams I know how frustrating it can be. remember it can take 4-6 tries before it works. I would move off clomid and go to injections if you can afford it. using clomid long term can affect the thickness of your uterus lining. have faith that it will happen for you. glad to see that you are still on your journey into motherhood! good luck and baby dust to you!

Thank you...
