unmedicated IUI next cycle, need advice

Hello!

I have been monitoring my past two cycles. I am fairly regular (24-26 days cycles). I am turning 33 this week. My obgyn is all about taking charge of your fertility and she doesn't use meds. She believes that if one properly monitors their cycles they can achieve a pregnancy (she specializes in same sex couples).

So I check my cervix daily, my cm, bbt and use cheap opks, clearblue digital opk and the fertility monitor at the same time. I also take prenatal vitamins, evening primrose oil and do weekly acupuncture.

I always seem to have a drop in temperature before my ovulation.

I am using fertility friend to add my data.

This cycle my temp dropped on cd10. On cd11 afternoon I got a positive opk with cheap one. Cd12 morning I got peak on monitor and smiley on digital opk. However my temp raised higher (97.45) than the coverline (97.28) on cd 11 and cd12. I had egg white cm cd9, 10, 11 and cd12 morning but dry in cd12 afternoon. On cd13 it went up higher (97.65/97.90)

Last monrh I had the same results but cd11 and cd12 temp didn't raise as high (stayed within coverline) but had also dropped right before the positive opk.

Now both fertility friend and my other fertility app are saying my ovulation was on cd10 despite the positive opks... because of the temp rise... so this is making me nervous! (My cycle isn't over yet). They estimated my ovulation right on the drop. Last cycle it was: cd 8 at 96.8, cd 9 at 96.1, cd 10 at 96.8, cd 11 and 12 at 97.2 and cd 14 at 97.3 then 97.8.
This cycle it was: cd9 at 97, cd 10 at 96.5, cd11 and 12 at 97.45 then cd13 at 97.6 then 97.9...

Now I'm on cd 15 and expecting my period to start on feb 8. I would like to do my first ever IUI this next cycle but im scared to miss my ovulation... i was planning on doing back to back, first one afternoon of cd11, second morning of cd12.

I would hate to miss it. My obgyn's office is kinda far away, I am planning on seeing her on feb 7 day before my period to show her my charts and cervix photos.

Any help would be appreciated.

The OPK's are much more reliable than the fertility apps. I would just stick with one OPK and stay with it. We used the Clearblue easy digital monitor and that really helped us getting pregnant with our daughter. I would see if you can time it so that you are going in the day you reach day one of your peak. It helps if you test at the same time every day, too. I always trie to do the second urine of the day, but it is up to you. Using more than one monitor can just stress you out, which doesn't help when trying to get pregnant. You sound like you have a fairly short cycle- I was always typically on a 31 day cycle when I got pregnant with my daughter, but now my cycles are much shorter (or longer depending on the month). Because of the shorter luteal phase, I've been having trouble getting and staying pregnant, so this last round we tried clomid and prometrium and are hoping it will help to start and keep the pregnancy- just something to keep in mind if you run into trouble. Best of luck to you!

Definitely go by the the opk especially if you used Clearblue Easy Digital Monitor.

I ended up moving the date of my first IUI to next month, probably June 2nd, which is a Monday (I have to see if my doctor would come on a Sunday if needed). We looked at my charts together and figured out my cycle patterns:
    - I have 4 days of fertile egg white cervical mucus
    - on third day I get my peak on fertility monitor, but with first morning urine around 7:30am. My cb digital opk gives me a smiley the night before (2nd day, evening)
    - on the fourth day, (peak day 2) my cervix os is the most open in the morning, but closed in evening, and dry CM
    - next morning I get temperature hike

So she said I should come on that 4th day in the morning. But you advised that I should come on first day of peak. I have one more cycle to monitor before the big one! :)
