Over 40

Greetings, anyone got pregnant over 40 with medicated IUI? I had 3 with Clomid first one a week ago with injections, now the dreaded TWW. I know the trigger can mimic pregnancies symptoms trying to keep busy until next Sat. I think I am gonna test Sat it will b 7 days piui and 8 days ptriffer. Used donor 2995 supposedly great swimmers.

I did. 3 days after my 40th birthday! Best birthday gift I ever gave myself. I used clomid also. Took the first try!

Twice. First time I was 40, second time 43. I used injections and both worked on the first try! Sending positive vibes.

Thanks ladies, my TWW is over on Friday trying not to stress especially since I cheated and took at HPT on yesterday BFN, but my wife told me to keep the faith. I will have blood test on Fri. Keep you posted.

Thx, ladies but it's a no go this time. I got my period and took blood test confirmed the BFN. Anyway we are moving to 5th IUI actually at MD office now starting ultrasound lab stuff hopefully this time we have success if not we may go with IVF. I work for Kaiser as a LCSW so our coverage is pretty good they may approve it. They are covering IUI's so prayerful they cover IVF as well. Sending love, baby energy your way.

Hi, I just read your notes. I just turn 40 and I have tried 4 times IVF procedure. Today was my 4th, no good follicles (eggs), by my Doc to do de IUI procedure, I would have less than 5% chances. So I would encorage you to just think IVF procedure. I am not sure how much this procedures are in US, but in my coutry, if I dont get a positive answer next try, I am definately considering going to US to give it a try. Who know I might be Lucky at the land of the dreams. And you my friend good luck, dont ever give up on you and your baby! Joy to you.

Thx for warm wishes. We definitely are strongly considering IVF, doc feels I will do well. I produce 8 follicles on Follistim and good size so she thinks if we have to go that route we should have more success. Best of luck to you as well.

So I am in my last week of TWW on IUI # 5 but I am much more calm, less anxious and overall "emotionally good". I am letting God and nature do it's thing. If not pregnant will do acupuncture this month and gear up for IVF June or July.

Go to IVF if you can. I did 13 IUI and 2 IVF rounds from age 38-40. My darling daughter was born just after my 41st birthday

You ladies give me hope. Yez definitely IVF but probably only 1 round then maybe adopt, but again whatever is suppose to be will be, I believe that wholeheartedly. Will check in next Friday. ..
