Fairfax Cryobank does not collect information on the gender of the donor's offspring. Although the donor does determine gender of his children, it is a completely random process and is expected to be 50/50. If you would like to know the pregnancy range of a specific donor, you can contact client services and they are happy to share that information.

My wife and I tried 7 ICIs at home and were unsuccessful. We then did 2 IUIs in office and now my wife is 17 weeks pregnant. Before this pregnancy I carried our twins which were done in office and so this time around we wanted to have a "just us" experience. Unfortunately for us it didn't work out and becoming pregnant became more important (not to mention the expense!). When we did the 2 IUIs we also switched to a donor that had reported pregnancies. Best of luck!!!
  • I think IUI you have a better chance, but I know many women what conceived just fine at home with donor sperm. It's the same as a hetero couple, up to a year is normal. Gender is not reported but you could look to see how many girls are on his fathers side of the family. We did that with our first donor, but ended up switching to a donor with higher pregnancy rates.

If only it were as cheap! We are on our 3rd IUI for what we hope will be our 2nd child by our donor. My partner carried the first (a 4 year old girl) and now I am trying. In our TWW right now. When does the saga end? Wishing you all luck.

My partner and I are on our 3rd IUI as well. How do you know if the donor has higher pregnancy rates than others? Lots of baby dust to you!!!
