Donor #4282

txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
I switched donors and was wondering if anyone knew the count/mobility numbers for this donor. I'm waiting on a positive ovulation test this week and sonogram confirmation for the right side. Hopefully will be in the Tww by this weekend. Thanks in advance!!

Just got back from the doctor and I get to try again this month. If I have a positive ovulation test today or tomorrow I will be inseminated tomorrow or Saturday. If no positive test I will get the trigger shot tomorrow evening and get inseminated on Sunday!!!

How did it go ladies? I just bought 4282 and I am hoping to try 15th.
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
Hey Jenna, this is my second try and my blood test is schedule for Saturday. Just a warning, his sperm counts are really low. My first IUI with this donor was 10.1m and this last one was 9.9m.

HI all! We are using 4282 and in tail end of tww. We tried once before with no luck:(
    Fingers crossed for everyone:)

Wow, thank you Txgrl74. I really hope I am pregnant. I will find out October 10th. I wonder why his sperm count was low. I thought there was to be a certain requirement.
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
There is a requirement. I got refunded for the 2nd IUI. I had a total of 2 with this donor. And one with donor 4810. Do you know what the sperm count was on your IUI?
  • JennaJenna Junior Member Junior Member
    I don't. how do I do that?

My IUI was negative. So trying again.
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
Hey Jenna, my doctor always tells me the numbers before my IUI. Maybe you could ask them. You definitely need to know in order to contact Fairfax if the numbers are low.
  • JennaJenna Junior Member Junior Member
thank you. I am doing my 2nd IUI this week. I will ask my doctor. thank you!

Hi all...first 2 failed with #4282 and trying the 3rd time. I will know in 2 weeks..
Anyone on here that is pregnant with #4282?
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
I switched back to my first choice. I'm no longer using donor #4282.
  • JennaJenna Junior Member Junior Member
starting to think if this one fails I am moving to another.

Jenna, did the third IUI work for you? I'm trying to pick a donor - it's so hard!
  • dproto630dproto630 Junior Member Junior Member
Hi all, we may be choosing donor 4282. My genetic testing came back that I am a carrier for 2 genetic disorders. I wanted to make sure the donor was not a carrier as well. Coincidentally out of all the donors in FairFax, this one was in our original top 10 and tested negative for BOTH genetic disorders I am a carrier for. So we may choose him to follow fate. Just some questions on his sperm count. Did you purchase the ICI or IUI vials? Has anyone had success with him? I asked Fairfax and he has 1-5 reported pregnancies. Any info will be appreciated!!

I also wanted to include this story from a blogger who used donor 4282. Even though her experience was a little different since she is older and did IVF and had success.

I conceived with 4282 via IUI (and clomid) last year. My baby is 6 months old today!

Did you ever have a baby using donor 4282?

Did anyone ever have any luck with donor #4282?? I have ordered 2 vials of ICI and am hoping to have IUI on 2/18 or 2/19.
  • mrsholt2017mrsholt2017 Junior Member Junior Member
Had our first IUI ever with this donor today; very nervous especially after reading a couple of comments on here about potentially low sperm quality, but he had over 24 million motile cells so we'll take it! Fingers crossed, so excited.

Hello everyone. I have a 14 month old after using donor 4282. I have had many miscarriages and failed attempts to conceive so I assumed this would be the only child I would have. I recently consulted with a fertility doctor, and he believes I may still be able to have another child. I would love my baby to have a sibling but 4282 is no longer available and is listed as inactive. Does anyone have any unused vials that they would be willing to sell to us? My understanding is if they are at Fairfax Cryobank, they simply need to be released, but if they are being stored elsewhere, we would need to do a transfer of ownership. I am willing to work with any of you if you have unused vials and would consider letting us purchase them. Thank you.

Hello everyone. I have a 14 month old who was conceived using donor 4282. After her birth, I assumed she would be my only child given my history of miscarriages and inability to conceive, and age, but I recently consulted another fertility doctor, who thinks I may be able to have another child. I would love to give my baby a sibling, but 4282 is no longer available and is listed as an inactive donor. Does anyone have any unused vials that they would be willing to sell us? My understanding is that vials stored at Fairfax Cryobank can be released for resale, and vials stored at another facility will require a transfer of ownership. We are willing to work with anyone who may be able to help us. Thank you.

Hello! We are seeking vials for donor 4282 - can work with any prep type. Please write me a private message if you have any in storage (at Fairfax or any other long term storage facility) and we would love to purchase them. Thank you!
