Donor 2766 Low Count and Motility! :(

Spring6021Spring6021 Junior Member Junior Member
If anyone is considering donor 2766 you want to talk to Fairfax first. I just completed a very expensive medicated, monitored and triggered IUI only to find out that the ICI vial for 2766 from Fairfax only had post thaw motility of 38.5% with a sperm count of 11.1 with a final post-wash motility of 48.7% and usable sperm count of 4.2 million. That is terrible and extremely disappointing given Fairfax's advertised standards.

I am so sorry to hear this! This must have been extremely frustrating. I just went through 2 rounds of IUI with 2766 and both of the samples I used were good with approximately 14 million in each. I just found out that the 2nd round worked and I am pregnant. I hope that future vials work for you.

I was able to get pregnant with twins on my second round of IUI. The doctor said that the samples both had high count and good movement.

Did you have boy/girl, two boys, or two girl twins, if you don't mind me asking?

I had boy/girl twins. They are gorgeous! I hope that you have luck with this donor!

To those women who achieved IUI pregnancy with 2766: do you recall what your motility % was? Not concerned about TMC, just the motility %. We will have first IUI this month with donor 5104 (35% motility and 10 million TMC). Wondering if I should really feel as hopeless as I do. Thanks for your time!!

I thought the requirement for Fairfax is 20 million? Thats what they have posted. Donor 2766 has only 5 million at my IUI. It will inevitably cost more. More tries, possible IVF with low grade sperm.

I got pregnant with 2766 3 years ago so I don't remember the specifics number...just remember when it was time for the 'grand finale' the doctor was really impressed with the numbers and they were much higher than their normal specimens.
