Trying donor 4417

pastoralanpastoralan Junior Member Junior Member
So we decided to go with 4417. He seems to have the best success. Hoping with good round of clomid to have great success. if you used him, please share your success story!

We used donor 4216 previously and had a chemical miscarriage...when we called to order more samples we were told his sperm was removed as there was a baby born with a heart condition. This made us use our second best face match to my husband with donor 4417. My husband and I were successful on our second IUI round. Our little guy was born October 2014 and will use this donor again if we decide to have another one. Still undecided on whether to go through the whole process again but in the end we are super happy and content with our healthy handsome little man:)

First time using this forum and don't believe my first reply went through? My husband and I were successful on our second IUI round in becoming pregnant with donor 4417. Our little boy was born October 2014 and is perfect. We would use this donor again for another child if we decide to have one. The sperm quality with this donor was always above 23 million.

Oh wow Tazman. I am sorry for your loss but so happy that you finally got your miracle with 4417. you said he was 23 mil? That's really good, right? Did you do the IUI with clomid, or was it unmedicated? Are your baby pictures comparable with the donors baby picture? We ordered 4417 and are working with a new RE. starting clomid tomorrow and will then be doing the IUI in a few weeks. So I take it you were ok fertility wise?

That's Awesome, Tazman. So this is the first time we did donor with IUI. How was your husband with it? How about your family? Did anyone know, did you tell anyone. We have tried for 12 years to get pregnant. We did in 2012 but lost it just around 4 weeks. We tried on our own since then, and nothing happened. We tried a IUI ourselves, but it didn't take. DR says due to low count. So now we have gone this route. Can you share your story on how you were led to do this and was there any struggle in making that decision? If you don't mind, do you have a baby picture you can share! I always wonder what our baby with this donor would look like. Thanks!
