I started my journey last month. I took 100mg of Clomid CD5-9. During my CD14 ultrasound I had 4 large follicles and 1 small. Being my first cycle and I'm only there to get pregnant as I'm a SMBC, we aren't aware of any problems my Dr canceled the insemination for that month to avoid risk of multiples. My preliminary tests are all excellent. So she gave me 10 days of Provera and now I'm about to start Clomid again tomorrow CD5-9 at only 50mg. I'm worried I will still have too many follicles. Should I ask to reduce to 25mg of Clomid? Any success stories on that dosage?

Hi I'm a single mom of. 7 year old. My clomid was only 25 mg and I'm very lucky since I got pregnant on the first iUI.
-
Congratulations! I started my Clomid last night. I decided to do 25mg. I feel more comfortable. Wish me luck! My CD14 ultrasound is on Feb 12th. I'm hoping to have my first insemination next week.

Good luck your never regret the journey at all. Holding the little is the most special part of life. Even holding them at 7 years old means even more.

Why are you concerned of having multiples? We have been trying for 12 years for our miracle.
-
Because I am doing this on my own. Of course any baby would be a blessing but twins alone I know would be super hard. If I had a husband or significant other I wouldn't worry much abut twins.

Thank you for your encouragement Dawny89. I had 1 follicle measuring 21 on my CD14 u/s. The doctor gave me an extra day to do the trigger in hopes it would grow a bit more. I triggered the next evening on Friday the 13th and Sunday I had my first IUI. Quick & painless and now I'm in the dreaded 2WW. Fingers crossed and many prayers for a BFP in 2 weeks!

The 2ww wait was so long. I actually knew with 9 days my breast became tender and took an ept on 10 day was positive please be positive. Also remember if you have twins they will always have a playmate. I actually wanted twins and only got one.

I'm dying to test! I've been having several symptoms. Nausea, dizzy spells and certain food smells making me want to hurl... to name a few lol. My day 34 isn't until March 4th which is when the Dr told me to call if my period hasn't shown up yet. I'm worried about getting a false positive if I test too soon bc I took Ovidrel. I plan to test on Friday. That will be 14 days since my ovidrel.

Good luck and hang in there only one week to go.

Thank you! I'll be sure to post an update

That's odd that you have wait 34 days my dr facility I used tested after 21 days. With your symptoms I hope it means good news.

just now had time to get back online. son has been sick.
it's odd how you have to wait 34 days. I used the jones int. in Hampton Roads VA and they tested me within 21 days of procedure. hope for good news this week. Just remember that if you have twins you never have to worry about the child having someone to play with and when they get older you don't have to have vacations where the one child is begging for a sibling to play with. I'm now working on starting the adoption procedure just so my son has a sibling since I wanted twins but thrilled that I have one. you will only get what you can handle. -
It's actually day 34 of my cycle but 18 days after the procedure. Yeah with twins it would be one & done lol. I took a test this morning. It was negative my period isn't due until Tuesday and if no period by Wednesday then I'm supposed to call the doctor. I'm bummed the test was negative. Do I still hold out hope that I could still be pregnant? Now I'm worried it didn't take.
Sorry to hear your son has been sick. Hope he is feeling better! That's great about the adoption process. I think that is what I would do as well in the future.
Thank you so much for your support & encouragement. It really has been so helpful! -
Aunt Flo came today. I thought I was in the home stretch. Today was the day I got to call the Dr to schedule a blood test but she showed up 20 minutes before their office opened
I'm devastated but I need to pull it together and mentally prepare for my new cycle. -
it will happen when it is suppose to. just don't lose hop.
-
I am having the same issue. I'm writing to encourage, as I need it myself. I'd happily have four, but I'm doing it alone. Good luck.
-
Thank you for the encouragement! Good luck to you too! I'm currently again in my 2ww and I'm down to just a few more days of waiting. Monday I call the doctor if no AF. I believe God will bless me with whatever # of babies I'm supposed to have....1, 2, 3...I'll figure it out. I just pray for a healthy baby! And I'll add you to my prayers for the same.
