air bubbles in needle?

So I'm going to try another IUI this month. Hopefully for me 9 times will be the charm! I started the gonal f injections last night. I'm taking 150iu for 5 nights straight and then after those 5 days I will have bloodwork and an ultrasound done. With gonal f I first tried 75IU, then the next time 112.5 IU and now it's 150IU. I used to go in every other day for bloodwork and ultrasound so I think it's weird they are wauting 5 whole days before they do it, but maybe they just are understanding my body or cycle better and feel like they don't need to check with those tests as frequently?? I'm not sure? Last night I had a very hard time giving myself the shot. I kept getting a big air bubble at the bottom of the needle. I had to inject the medicine back into the bottle 3 different times before I felt comfortable with how it looked. Each time I did that I wasted some of the medicine still though. I'm a little worried I might be short a dose near the end of this process. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
