Hi there, did you use 4383? We have him in our list and will do our fist IUI this June/July. Any success?
  • julsjuls Junior Member Junior Member
We did not use him, I am sorry.
  • dproto630dproto630 Junior Member Junior Member
We also have 4383 and are planning for our 1st IUI in July!!! You may be a month ahead of me jenacob but let's k.i.t. :) Good luck to you!

1st natural cycle IUI failed with donor 4383 but our 2nd IUI is planned for this week! Hoping 2nd time works! I just started taking femara for follicle growth and estrace for estrogen (my lining this cycle was thin) Wish me luck!!

We are using 4383 for the next 4 cycles. Hoping to stay with him...LOVE his features!

Anyone have any luck with him yet?
  • JJZFamilyJJZFamily Member Member
Any updates here? We are in the TWW on our first round with this donor...
  • dproto630dproto630 Junior Member Junior Member
We used donor #4383 and we got lucky on our 2nd IUI!! I'm currently 9 weeks!! Our lucky vial had 13 million swimmers. We are beyond excited and so happy it worked only on the 2nd try! Good luck @JJZFamily keep in touch!!
  • JJZFamilyJJZFamily Member Member
dproto630 - Yay!! Congratulations! That's AWESOME!! And on the 2nd try! This is our 2nd IUI, but first with 4383. I have a blood test on Friday. I'm feeling a little crampy like I'm going to start my period, but I know that could mean anything.
We had good numbers too - last month with a different donor, we barely made the 10 million mark. I'm pretty sure she said 14 million with this one.
So happy for you guys!! Hope I can join you this week! :)

I wish you the best of luck!! Keep me posted on your progress!! I'm hoping we can find out the gender soon with the panorama blood test, but if it's too expensive and not covered by insurance we will wait until we are able to see on an ultrasound. I know this donor is the father of a girl as mentioned in his profile so we'll soon find out if he father's girls!! Where are you located?? I'm in NY.
  • JJZFamilyJJZFamily Member Member
We are in Florida. I'm patiently waiting for the doctor to call with the results and I can honestly tell you that I have no idea what they will be...I feel like I'm going to start my period, but it's also a little different than usual. I tested at home and it was negative though...but then, technically tomorrow is 14 days. Who knows! :)
We have 3 more vials if this one didn't take...

Try not to think about it, I know harder said then done!! Fingers crossed for you!! Are you doing IUI? Are you on meds? I did a natural cycle on my 1st IUI which was unsuccessful. On the 2nd try I said we want to be more aggressive and my Doctor was like well we can jump right to IVF and I was like ummm no I don't think we're ready for that yet!! So I did Femera on days 5-9, had a 22mm follicle on day 14 and did the trigger shot, had IUI next morning!!
  • JJZFamilyJJZFamily Member Member
Yep, we are doing IUI and I'm on meds. My doc has me take all 10 pills on day 3, and we trigger when the follicle(s) look good...and then inseminate 40 hours later. Last cycle I had 3 mature follicles, and we were a bit concerned about multiples, but we all agreed to go for it since we have been unsuccessful so far. Alas, this one was unsuccessful as well, and my doc is also ready to move to IVF, but said we should give it one more try with IUI. I had a mild freak out on Friday when we learned how much IVF would cost, so we are hoping she will do two inseminations this cycle as a last effort before IVF. If it doesn't work, we will look to IVF in a few month when we can save up the down payment.

I got pregnant with 1 22mm follicle and 13 million swimmers! Just remember it only takes 1 :)
Best of luck to you and keep me posted. I'm patiently waiting for my panorama results. I go to the OB on the 14th to get results and find out gender. I will post the news!!
  • dproto630dproto630 Junior Member Junior Member
Just got the call from my doctor's office. They gave me my panorama test results and said I am low risk for any chromosome disorders and....I'm having a healthy baby BOY!!! My wife wanted a girl so bad lol but I'm just happy he will be healthy. I'm beyond excited and can't wait to announce to everyone next week!!
  • JJZFamilyJJZFamily Member Member
Update here...last month was unsuccessful. This month we have asked to do a double IUI, and if it doesn't work, we will likely move to IVF. We will need to determine how we will pay for it first...
I anticipate the IUIs to be the first week of November.

Hi dproto630! we are also in NY and considering the same donor..I'm wondering which clinic you are using (if you share this kind and info)? thanks so much.
  • sar9604sar9604 Junior Member Junior Member
I used 4383 with IUI 3/3/16. Period is due tomorrow, nothing yet, but all tests have been negative so far. The nurses at the fertility office were very impressed with the sperm motility for a frozen sample and said it was one of the best they've seen.

This was my 2nd IUI and if it does turn out to be a failure, I'll try with 4383 again.
  • dproto630dproto630 Junior Member Junior Member
We used 4383 and were successful on our 2nd IUI! It's a boy and I'm due in 4 weeks!!

    Where are you located @sar9604?

I seem to be the only one who has gotten pregnant with this donor so far...

We are currently at 20 weeks with donor 4913, a healthy baby boy, after 3 failed IUIs, 1 failed IVF and a successful 2-embryo transfer that resulted in this singleton. At 41 I count my blessings.

I used donor 4383 and delivered my little girl January 29, 2017. I got pregnant on my second IUI with the same donor. My daughter is amazing with no chromosomal problems. Motility on second IUI was 23 million. I got pregnant with PCOS at age 38 with this donor and I am happy! She's my miracle baby!
  • nanaymenanayme Junior Member Junior Member
Hi there! I am 8 weeks pregnant with the same donor 4383 we did IUI and it worked the first time. How is your baby girl? Congratulations to you :)
  • nanaymenanayme Junior Member Junior Member
Hi natorPaw! I used 4383 when I called fairfax they said the donor has 10-15 pregnancy range . I did the IUI last April and it works the first time the specimen I used has a total motile count of 38.8 million post wash. Hope that helps!

Congratulations to you too!! How are you? My baby girl is fine, battling some allergies (I'm thinking my cat) but otherwise happy and growing well. She's 19 weeks now. When do you find out the sex of yours...or do you want to be surprised in the delivery room?

When we met with our doctor they did an ultrasound of my ovaries to determine how many follicles were present - as women age the number of follicles decreases. From there we had bloodwork done to test for STDs, ovarian reserve, and general immunities. We also had an HSG dye test with an X-ray to ensure my Fallopian tubes are open. From there they will analyze the results and decide when you are ready to begin. I will say look at the donor's CMV status because my bloodwork revealed that I'm CMV negative and they highly suggested I have a donor that was CMV negative as well.

We had a baby girl with 4228 last month! Looking to connect with others who used him.
  • sboyle1006sboyle1006 Junior Member Junior Member
We have donor 4228 for ICI, but now have to move over to IVF and cant use his swimmers anymore. If anyone is wanting to purchase 4228 for sale it's in storage and will discount the cost heavily for anyone who is interested and needs help. He has had multiple reported pregancies as well.

    best,
    Whitney
