IUI yesterday...totally normal today. :/

hopeful0115hopeful0115 Junior Member Junior Member
Had my IUI yesterday morning and was so optimistic until it was done. Had mild cramping off and on yesterday but nothing today. :confused:I feel like I should feel SOMETHING if it worked. Gonna go back and forth I guess over this TWW. If anyone else had an IUI this month, let's wait together. Trying to believe I had Cinco de Mayo luck. ❤

Enduring this 2 week wait as well.. Had IUI on the 14th. You should be coming up on results soon, best of luck to you! And good point... We have totally been obsessing over every potential symptom. Only time will tell. Keep us posted :)

    How are you feeling AubandKatie?
  • Aubandkatie19Aubandkatie19 Junior Member Junior Member
Excessively tired. I can't figure out if it's a "sign" or my sudden decrease in caffeine. I'm likely looking for any sign here but I suppose only time will tell. Is everyone else waiting for results? How is everyone doing?

I thought the tww would get easier the 6th time, but its not :) my new dr actually said i should not stop doing anything i normally do. So for example I drink coffee everyday he said reduce to 3 days per weekbut dont completely stop suddenly. Made sense to me to not put my body into shock mode. So now im 8dpiui, sore heavy breasts for a few days and STARVING but no other symptoms.

Hi ladies. I had my 6th IUI on Friday, the 15th. More nervous than ever about this one. My doc says next step is IVF if this one doesn't take. I'm trying to stay super positive, and optimistic that this is it!! I love reading these forums, especially if they're active for support and just knowing I'm not going through this alone. 4th Try, I was even more happy to see you're on your 6th try too! I hope everything works out for all of us this month!! ;-)

Makes complete sense to not stop drinking coffee abruptly... I felt like all of a sudden I had to do everything healthy. not too swift on my part, but I think I'm adjusting better without the added caffeine in my life. I keep reading how it increases the rate of miscarriage so I just made the decision to cut it out. Thinking of you both on your 6th IUI. I can't even imagine the stress during the tww for you both. I've been sticking with the positive thinking, in my mind... I'm pregnant. It seems as if science shouldn't fail us? But some how, some way it does. 7dpiui now... Nothing. I wake up praying for sore breasts, spotting and nausea. Anything that would make me feel this has worked. Have you both ever taken an hpt prior to blood work? If so, how early? Thinking of you all and wishing some positive pregnancies are soon to be reported on this thread

Hi AubandKatie, you're so sweet. Dont say 'not too swift' its because you care, i did the same the first 4 times. Just found it interesting and thought id share. This process IS a great way to quit bad habits lol. Tough one for me is my red wine. Positive thinking is good. Remember that many women feel nothing. Only 30% or less experience implantation bleeding. Im the worst when it comes to testing

I waste soo much money testing early. It's just because i cant sit and di NOTHING. drive myself crazy. I have no symptoms today at all. As the day goes on ive had sore breasts lately but nothing major

Hi JessandDan! Been tough huh? You would think it would get easier...its this frozen sperm. My mother used to do inseminations in the 70s-1990 with only fresh sperm and had an 81% success rate. You're in my thoughts. Baby dust to you. My husband is azoospermic. So weve git no choice

The first couple times I did test with a hpt early on. It did nothing but make the negative more of a reality. So the last few times I tested exactly 2 weeks after my iui. All negatives of course. My doc doesn't order blood work unless there is a positive hpt. So I haven't even got that far yet. One week down, one more to go. It's the most stressful/exciting time of my life. I just keep thinking, when it's meant to be, it will happen!

How is every one doing? I'm hoping to hear some good news from you all soon? We go in for blood work on Thursday, that will be day 14. I've honestly kind of forgotten a little (been trying to keep busy I guess) I feel nothing. No "symptoms" at all. Hope everyone is well.

  • jessadan20jessadan20 Junior Member Junior Member
    Ahh 4th try, I'm so sorry. :-(
  • Aubandkatie19Aubandkatie19 Junior Member Junior Member
4th try.. I'm so sorry :( I wish there was something more I could say. We tested on 12 days post IUI and it was negative. Will go for bloodwork tomorrow morning to confirm.

    Aubandkatie, Any good news today??
  • Aubandkatie19Aubandkatie19 Junior Member Junior Member
No luck :( .. Will try again next month, thank you for asking Jessadan. Do you test tomorrow?
  • jessadan20jessadan20 Junior Member Junior Member
I do test tomorrow. So we'll see.
  • jessadan20jessadan20 Junior Member Junior Member
Negative. :-( Part of me wants to jump right in and move to ivf, like next month. The other part of me wants to wait awhile. I dunno when we'll move forward, but I'll keep you guys updated. :-)

JessaDan & AubandKatie so sorry to hear. My sororrity sister told me a while ago and I did not listen to her. She said, just do IVF right away, its worth it. She said I would waste time and money doing IUI. Im starting to believe that is true. My husband researched something called miniIVF, anyone hear of it?
  • jessadan20jessadan20 Junior Member Junior Member
Your sorority sister is absolutely correct. I mean how would we know that in all these tries, it wouldn't ever work? I started this process 2 years ago this August with my gyno. She did one iui and that was it. I didn't get positive ovulation tests for several months, took the summer off, just got frustrated and moved to an RE. So in all reality I've had 7 iuis total. I'll be 30 this year and I feel like I'm running out of time. I said that just the other day, I wish I would've forgone the last 3 iuis and saved that money for ivf. 2 of my really close friends have gone the ivf route, both for completely different reasons. One has a 2 month old son, and the other has an almost 2 year old daughter and is 31 weeks pregnant with her second daughter from a frozen embryo transfer. I've saw some things on the miniIVF, don't know much about it though. I would definitely look into it, if you think it may be an option for you guys.

What's the next step for everyone? We just did our second iui today. I thought last time our numbers were perfect and couldn't understand why it didn't work .. I know it's a process but it wasn't making sense. This time the numbers look better. Fsh 4.8 and a follicle 24 on cycle day 11. So we did the trigger shot yesterday and iui this morning. The motility was also 14.4, 4 million more than last try. I'm hoping all these numbers help the process, if not we are thinking of trying some fertility meds next time. Any advice on how many "natural" tries before moving on to clomid? Any updates on anyone? Hope everyone is well

Hey ladies - I thought this month this try #3 was the charm for me but it wasn't. I used the meds and was told this was the perfect cycle. I got my fsh down to 6 (I was all over the place as high as 38!) and it took me a year of hard work to get it normal. Seriously my system hasn't been this devoid of anything worth living for (carbs, caffeine, alcohol, sugar) since puberty! My insurance doesn't cover anything so it's all out of pocket for me so ivf is out of the question for me. It's IUI or take my ski mask to the dry cleaners next month. Seriously I'm trying hard not to slide into depression so I went on a carb fest and now I feel miserable not just mentally but my freaking purified system can't handle junk food! A complete kick in the butt!
