Hi! I was wondering if you ended up going with donor 4874? My spouse and I were looking at him and curious of his numbers or any input you might have. We are kinda concerned on him being on the Finasteride medication as it can cause birth defects but then again so many things can and I might need to stop worrying over everything. Thanks!

We had 2 natural Iui attempts both of which were negative.

Have you went to another donor? What were your counts? We have done 3 Medicated IUIs with this donor. IUI # 1 our count was 14.01mil BFN, 2 IUI count was 20 mil with BFN, 3rd IUI we had to thaw 2 vials due to low counts. The 1st vial thawed was only 5mil and the 2nd thawed was 7.02mil. They combined the two and spun them and we ended up with only 10.11mil for our 3rd IUI. Won't know the results of that until 10/22. Not sure why his counts are getting lower but it worries us. We have around 7 vials of his on ice for future IUIs and for possible siblings.

I think you can request a refund or a new vial if the counts are lower than they suggest. I might look into it if I were you.

Oh I did thank you! They were going to just give me a credit to buy more but since we had 6 vials already they refunded my card minus the shipping fees of course. That cycle was a BFN of course and now we are about to do our 5th IUI with this donor.

Hi All - Any updates on the use of 4874? Also considering for IUI, and any feedback is great!

    Hi lifeisgood,

I used 4874 in a IUI and IFV, the IUI failed and the IFV from 8 eggs, 5 were fertilized, 2 became blastocysts (4BC, 5CC).
I had a chemical pregnancy and Im not going to use this donor anymore. :(

I used 4874 for medicated IUI in February 2016 and got pregnant on the first try! Have a happy healthy almost 2 year old boy. I'm going to use him to try for another soon.
