Wait List

Coll217Coll217 Member Member
Hi all!
Can anyone tell me how many vials were offered to you if you were on a waitlist? My wife and I want to buy around 20 ICI vials so we have a better chance at having a second child in the future.
Right now I am so intimidated by this whole process!
Thanks!!
~Colleen

My wife and I are just now starting the process too and it is pretty intimidating and exciting all at the same time. We were wondering how long the wait was on the waitlist or does it just depend on the donor...?

From everything they have told us it depends on the donor.
The waitlist we are on is still actively donating and he has vials in quarantine that we are waiting to be released. Once he goes in to have a the last blood tests for these vials (they need to do one 6 months after the donation) he will be released.
It does seem like there are waitlists for less active donors too. I think you can go on a waitlist and be actually waiting for someone to sell back vials that they did not use. Or if a donor has finished his 6 month commitment he may not be coming in as regularly...so if you are on a waitlist for someone like that, who say, donates next month, then you'll be waiting at least 6 more months before the vials are released.

Yikes. One thing I am learning about this entire process is.....there is a lot of hurry up and wait.
