Donor 5224

michaelart77michaelart77 Junior Member Junior Member
Hi guys!

Totally new to this entire thing, but my wife and I are super excited to get started.
This Thursday (8-17-17) I go for my first ultrasound to see if I have any mature follicles. Our doctor informed us that when and if I have mature follicles I will need to order the sperm right away.
We finally have our donor picked out, but after a quick search of him on these forums, it comes up with little to no results.

Anyone have experience with Donor 5224? I did see on the donor search that he indeed has a reported pregnancy. So any feedback will be great, as in how many times it took to get pregnant (or not), did you use IUI, ART, etc?

Thanks everyone!:-D

    Hi,
Did you use donor 5224? We are also looking for a donor and would like to know if you were successful.
    Thank you!

Hi there - I am also using 5224 but have not had success yet with IVF, and will be starting another round later this month, so I'm wondering if you were able to get pregnant using his sperm? Thanks!

    Hi, all!

This is my first post and I am *very* new to this. I have been researching donors/banks for about a year, and am now starting to really narrow down and finalize the steps needed prior to ordering and beginning The Journey... as my name states. ;)

My interest was immediately piqued by donor 5224... I have seen countless other donors, even on different websites, and I keep coming back to Mr. 5224. I am a couple of years away from what I plan to be the first insemination, but I am stuck on 5224. Even considering ordering and storing, but I long to hear experiences before all of that.

Anyone and everyone with more information- please keep us updated! I will continue to check back on this thread.

And, finally, good luck to all!!

Follow-up to my last post... I just checked back again, and now it says he is inactive and they do not expect availability in the future.

Journey, I also fell in love with donor 5224. Not planning on pregnancy for a while, but I ordered some vials and put them in storage. 5224 has one vial left for IUI, I know because I just ordered and they said he had one IUI vial left. You can also ask to be added to their call list and if anyone sells back vials to Fairfax then you will be on the top of the list. Worth a shot, I have purchased five vials since he went inactive, so it doesn't mean you are out of luck. Hope that helps!

B, Thank you so much for your reply!! I am so amazed at how life's turn of events lead us where we don't expect. I had been looking at 5224 for about a year. When I found out he became inactive, I somehow came across another donor.

Hi all! If anyone has any extra vials of 5224, we would love to buy them through a transfer of ownership! We have a 1 year-old from 5224, and are working on a future sibling, and only have a few left in storage. As you've all noted, he's inactive and we're on the wait list. Fingers crossed!

    Hi Everyone,
I am interested in purchasing an extra vials of 5224 if anyone is interested in selling it via transfer of ownership! I had a few vials from him which did not result in a pregnancy so now sadly I am giving it one lost shot buy purchasing any that come available. I purchased 6 vials and did not get pregnant. I'm healthy and relatively young(32), but sadly it wasn't in the cards for me. If anyone could contact me if interested in selling, I'd be so thankful!

Hello. We had a successful pregnancy and the birth of our daughter with donor 5224. We would like to give our 15 month old a sibling with the same donor but he is now unavailable. If you find you have vials you would not be needing, please let us know if you would consider transfer of ownership. We would be forever grateful.

Hi, I have a vial of 5224 in storage at Fairfax that I would be willing to sell/transfer. I have a 10 month old son from 5224, who is just the best baby anyone could hope for...I posted on the private forum for 5224 about looking to connect with diplings, perhaps you could message me there. It can be hard to get access (I had to follow up twice), if so, you can message me here as well.
