I'm wondering how big of a consideration listening to the donor's voice was for you in your search. Any thoughts?

Hi! It wasn’t a huge thing for us, but we did listen to the voice of each of our favorite donors. I wouldn’t say it was make it or break it at all, but it was nice to hear their voice particularly with anonymous donors. For me personally, we were pretty set on one donor and kept going back to him. Hearing his voice kind of just clarified what I already thought. Hope this helps!

Same for me - didnt make a difference for me - I did listen for fun but I didnt change my mind on a donor because of the voice... Rmd - which donor did you go with? what was your deciding factor that you loved about your donor? I am on my third IUI now..first two didnt take..am thinking of switching donors, although I do believe its me thats the problem, not the donor!

Waited- sorry it took me a while to respond. New to this forum and hadn’t realized anyone asked me a question. We chose donor 4997. He had a lot of the same traits as my partner, which we liked. We went off physical traits at first and then narrowed it down by medical history. I really don’t know what kept sending us back to him, but we just kept finding ourselves back at his profile. My first IUI was 11/15 and oddly enough, we received our shipping info which stated that the date the vial was made was 8/19, which is our wedding day! I’m only about 8 days post IUI, but I’m hoping it takes.

I fell in love with Donor 2789's voice the minute I heard it. I have listened to his full audio interview probably 10 times. It was a determining factor in my choice (Hubby didn't want anything to do with selecting the donor) because it gave me insight into what kind of an intellect he was, and how he presented his thoughts and ideas. He's very sophisticated and smart. I also really like the sound of his voice - it's deep, but not too deep. In comparison to my husband, he also has many of the same interests - football, baseball, sci fi, video games, sushi, cats - and his values and beliefs deeply align with my husband's. Overall very happy with my choice.

Just gave birth to our baby girl with donor 4997. We do have an extra vial in storage if anyone is looking. Best of luck through this process.
