Donor 4854 and a question.

My wife and I had twins using donor 4854. We'd be interested in connecting with other families who used this donor.

We also have one IUI vial remaining we'd like to donate. You'd just be responsible for the transfer fees, which is slightly cheaper than purchasing a vial outright. We're in Arizona.

And, finally, we have been on this forum for several months with no luck locating others who have used this donor. (We already have a private forum where we are the only members.) Meanwhile, some donors seem incredibly popular with many families connecting with each other. Our donor is almost sold out and has had reported pregnancies, so we're not the only ones out there. Just curious what everyone thinks about that.

Hi- I didn’t use your donor, but I might be one of those “incredibly popular donors” as I have connected with 4 other families so far. I was the first one to post and it was several months before I connected with another family. In our group several families waited until their children were age 1 to reach out. We know there are more families out there, but I know that there are parents who don’t want to connect with donor siblings and parents who feel it is the child’s decision whether to connect...so it might just be a timing issue (depending on when your donor started donating and how long he donated, your kids might be among the oldest) and/or it might be that the other families don’t yet want to connect. Have you looked on the Donor Sibling Registry or searched Facebook?
