Warning about posting comments on the Fairfax Facebook page!

Hey Everyone,
I know Facebook is it's own monster sometimes. I never know exactly what people can see regarding my Facebook activity. I recently posted a question in the Visitor Posts section on the Fairfax Facebook page and it popped up in the news feed of a relative that was unaware of my plans to conceive using donor sperm. Needless to say, that was not how I was planning to share the news. I just wanted to share this experience and remind everyone to be careful what you post on Facebook if you aren't ready for all your friends to see it...

Thanks for this warning info. I use a "fake" facebook account to join a hopeful single mom group and a etopic group (just dealt with a tubal pregnancy sadly) -
However, i use my regular instagram account to follow many IVF women...and often wonder if people see who I follow and then wonder why I am following those people - this whole process has been so stressful! -
I did some research and figured out there is a way to hide all of the groups that I am in, so now I have been able to join some trying to conceive groups on facebook. I'm hoping that others will not be able to see those groups now that I have changed my settings. I was also told you can change the privacy settings for each post you make on facebook, but if you forget, then it may pop up in someone's timeline you weren't ready to share with. I think the fake profile is not a bad idea....
