Getting ready for first home insemination!

My wife and I did an unmedicated IUI 2 months ago at our clinic with no success. Last month we unfortunately missed my ovulation so couldn't do it. because of some work changes for me, i will not be able to go to a clinic for the monitoring ultrasounds for the next few months. instead of wasting all those cycles we decided to try at home insemination. we bought 2 samples of our chosen donor and are using the clear blue ovulation kit to decide when to inseminate. i got a blinking smiley face today so i am thinking we will do it by the end of the week. I'm excited and nervous and hoping this will work!
anybody has had any success with at home insemination?? would love to hear about your stories and timing!
