Hey, we are just at the start of this whole adventure. We are looking into IUI & I have some questions (as I am the one who will be carrying). - How many cycles of IUI did people do before successfully getting pregnant?
- Is it super pricey to store extra vials?
- How many vials should we get? We are hoping to have at least 2 kids.

Thanks!!

    Hey Chantelle,
Just replied to your other post!

We were told that the average number of IUI cycles is 4-6. There is apparently about a 20% chance each attempt.
We ordered 3 of one donor, which all failed (30 million + active sperm / vial), then ended up trying a different donor for our 4th (12 million active sperm). The fourth worked!
I figure maybe my eggos didn't like the first donor and we just weren't compatible.
Storing extra may depend on where you want to keep them: at your clinic, or at the cryobank (where sometimes you can get a small refund if ever you don't end up using them and they remain at the facility)

It might be worth buying 3 (often cheaper than buying single vials) at once, then if it doesn't work, buy 3 more and maybe you will have some left over for the second try.

    Best of luck to you!
