TTC - Am I too Young?

My name is Megan, I am 24 years old. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and am looking into getting my counseling certificate. I work full time in a call center presently. I've been recently diagnosed with endometriosis and I have an ovarian cyst. My mother and aunt have both ended up having hysterectomy's after childbirth so it would appear my family is genetically predisposed to fertility/reproductive issues. It has always been my dream to have a child so I'm looking into becoming a SMBC as soon as possible. My family and friends have reservations as I'm so young, but I don't want to risk being infertile by the time I'm "financially" ready. So I'm asking you all, when and how did you know you were ready? Do you think I'm too young? Is anyone else in mine or similar situations, being too young and on a time limit?

If you feel your fertility may be a challenge, at your age you can consider just doing egg freezing? This may help with some 'peace of mind' for you should you not find a partner or have a child in more 'normal' ways. Something to think about?

Agree with Heartolion. If there is reason to be concerned then I would go for it. Egg freezing does seem like a great option to give you more time to think about it though or see where you are heading.

I think you are not too young at your age
