Hello,
If anyone has any unused vials in storage and would be willing to sell them, please reach out.
I knew this donor was the one just from seeing his childhood photo, which could easily be mistaken for a childhood picture of my husband. Our beautiful baby was born 11 months ago. Due to my age, we didn't think we'd have an opportunity to have another, but it wasn't long after she was born that we knew we needed another, and that we had to act fast. We were planning to start the process this spring, and then the pandemic happened. But we don't want to wait anymore. I'm initiating the process to request more from the donor but don't expect that to bear fruit. I know that we can find another donor, but if there's any possible way, we want to do this for our daughter. She is so perfect and happy and chunky and bossy and she needs herself a sibling to love and teach and fight with and look out for, especially since who knows when she'll be able to even see another kid again. At the end of the day, it won't matter whether it's the same donor or not, but I can't move onto that if there's any hope for a "full" sibling.
She loves water and spinach. She inherited my big head, so she'll never be able to wear headbands without getting a headache. When she hears me coming, she races to me with a gasp and the most brightly lit face you can imagine. Sometimes she'll sit and watch her daddy while he's doing something else, for minutes straight. Yesterday she stood up in the pool with no help for 30 seconds straight, with no wobbling at all. When she sees other kids on TV, she gets so excited, and I hope when she finally gets to have a friend, she knows how to share with them and to be gentle with them. Without her, the last few months would have been a bottomless hell. I hope someday if there is a life after this one, I can spend it watching her whole life like a movie for eternity. I just wanted to share these things so you know how much this would mean to us.
