Donor #4066

Hello!

We are a same sex couple living in Texas and had been together 6 years after deciding to have a little family of our own. The search may be exciting to some, and frustrating to others. I will say, what made this all much easier is the fact that Fairfax offers how the donor looks as an adult (lets be real, most babies are cute). I really wanted to use a donor that not only matches my spouses looks but also a donor I would ask in real life if he was a friend. What initially attracted us to Donor 4066 was how well spoken he was and his deep voice. Mostly though, his ambitions weren't small simple things to simply answer a question, get paid, and get the hell out, but he took time to properly answer each question from the heart. We also looked into "ID Option" since we have friends who are adopted, and a part always wonders where the genes came from. We wanted our children to have that opportunity to connect with those who share half their genes. So, we decided to go for this Donor and let me tell you--- well worth it.

I have read other forums with people not having luck with this Donor, and we hope that it eventually worked for them. In our case, I have 2 healthy children, 2 years apart, both of which worked on the first try IUI. We initially wanted 4 but we have decided since we have a boy and a girl to stop here, and thus recently had 2 vials bought back to Fairfax. Both children came in the 34th week, though I believe that problem lies with me (I'm super sure I can't stretch that much). The traits these kids have are strikingly cute(and yes I'm biased but I'm giving you what has been told to us by many we meet). They have a very beautiful smile, and one of my children has amazing blue eyes. On that note, the donor has Hazel eyes, and I have brown eyes, so there's that(aka, that means he carries blue and I do as well). Both children are well mannered in nature and pick up on things very fast. Though premature, once released from NICU within a week, both grew without issues physically and mentally and did not need any medical help of any sort.

Well, this is our story, and we hope to create many memories with these funny kids. We hope that other families who made use of the same donor will reach out someday, we for sure look forward to that. Thank you all for reading!
