single mom to 1 hopefully 2 soon (and different donors)
Hi!
I'm a single mommy to my little guy 22 mo old. I am trying for #2. Going to have to use a new donor now as I had 1 vial left of my son's donor, got preggers but then mc. His donor is retired now and I can't locate any other vials. Being the age I am (37) I don't want to shell out the bucks to have them search for him and have to wait a minimum of 6 months for samples to be ready. If I was younger I'd give it a try but with 2 mcs under my belt I can't imagine!
So I'm in search of donor #2, I'm sad I can't give a full sib to my little guy, but I guess the world will go on. My question is, are there any other single moms out there who used 2 different donors? Did you have any reservations doing it?
Thanks!!!

What did you do when you found out twins the second time around???
I'd love to have a second, but may well be too old to make it worth a try financially. I'm not really ready for another yet. Maybe when my daughter is approaching school age.
It seems a bummer. I'm just embarking on that part of my life where I'd like to be thinking family, and yet I'm on the verge of being too old.
Guess I'm lucky I had the one.
I have two vials of her donor left in storage which I would use if I try again. That donor also left the program, so those vials are the only ones left.
Good luck,
Cathy
I am taking care of my son by myself. I love every second of it, but will admit it can be challenging (I also work full time). I would LOVE to have another child at some point, and for my son to have a siblinng. Also, my IVF cycle resulted in 8 addtional embryos that are currently frozen and I think about those babies every day.
How did you make the decision to have a second baby as a single mother? My primary worry is that a new baby would take time away from my son, and vice versa. What have your experiences been, or what gave you the strength to make this decision?
Thanks for any guidance.
