A case of a child with a medical issue has been reported and we are currently investigating this further to determine if it is donor related.

A child has been reported with multiple myeloma at age 18 months. (Donor 2410 is under investigation at the time of this post 3/21/11)

CLI is committed to providing updated medical information about our donors. We will post updates to this forum as soon as we have the information.

CLI has a full time certified genetic counselor, Suzanne Seitz, MS, available to you to answer your questions. Please call us at 1-800-338-8407 for more information.

Medical Updates provided by CLI offer the added advantage that they are verified. We can confirm client information, review donor records and provide you accurate information right from the source. Please contact us if there is a medical update you would need to share. Donors can always update their medical history with us and we will share that information with you when it becomes available.

Donor 2410 has an offspring diagnosed with alvelar rhabdomyosarcoma

This type of tumor is typically of a sporadic, nonhereditary type. We believe the risk to other offspring is extremely low and have decided to release this donor from investigation after careful review with our medical geneticist. He is now available to others who wish to use him.
