Adorable! That bottom pic looks alot like Emma! Well except Emma has bright blond hair.
  • She is beautiful!! Love the big brown eyes! My daughter also has brown eyes. It's funny because I think my daughter seems to be a combo of your daughter and bluesky's daughter. :)

I'd love to share photos with you both but my wife is out of town for a bit. I didn't think this day would come so soon and we haven't really discussed how much we want to put out there. At least initially. In the meantime though I'd love to chat here, maybe we'll find out our kids all have some unique trait only the donor could have given them. :-)
  • Bluesky~
I thought that the bottom looked a lot like Emma too! You're right...w/o the bright blonde hair! :)
    Emma is so adorable!!!
    Redjellybean "that's cute btw"
We hope to see a pic or two of your little girl! It's truly amazing to see some of the same traits...there's physcial ones, and yet what about personality?! It's all very exciting and we can appreciate the time that is needed to decide if and when you want to share certain things. This process can give so many different emotions.
  • Kalikat - thank you for understanding! My daughter isn't even one yet so in a way I'm still adjusting to life with her let alone the bigger picture of life with half-sibilings in the world.

Don't get me wrong, my wife and I understood going into this that our daughter would have biological sibilings out there. But, one of the things I did like was going on the donor sibiling registry and NOT finding our donor. It was nice knowing there weren't already 20 families connected to him (although, yes, they could be out there but not online). Know what I mean?

Finding you and Bluesky here though is kind of exciting. I'm glad to see both of your families are multi-racial as well and that if my daughter someday chooses to meet her half-sibiling she'll find some of them have two moms as well! :-)
  • My partner and I are more than thrilled to connect with our daughters half siblings and family. I think what is so neat is what you have already mentioned...the connection that our family make up is the same! :) That alone is the cherry on top!

I think this site is a great opportunity to share, discover, and connect...and at anyones pace. Thank you bluesky and redjellybean for the connection we have already made!
