Donor 4116 is under investigation (at the time of this posting 8/12/2011)

UNDER INVESTIGATION: A report of a medical problem in one of the offspring has been reported. Collection of medical records and waiting for possible testing results are currently in progress. An evaluation by the Medical Geneticist is ongoing. No final decision has been made as to future risk to other offspring from this donor. More information can be obtained by calling 800-466-2796 and asking for the Genetic Counselor. Provide the donor number and describe your situation when calling.

This happens to be a different circumstance, as CLI has received a report of a reaction post insemination from a patient using donor 4116. We placed the donor into investigation awaiting a medical report from the patient’s doctor. All specimens are 100% compliant and has all of the required pre and post testing requirements. We believe that this is an isolated incident and are completing a thorough investigation of the issue during this time.
