I wouldn't worry about everyone else. You're the one raising the child and if you're confident in your ability and your finances, go for it. Speaking of your fertility, only you and your doctors know what's best for you. At 41, I wouldn't count you out but only you know what your body can/has done.

  • I'm 41 and trying for my first!!! Yes, I feel like I may be a little old...but I am really hopeful to start my family! :)
  • Hi folks... I'm not single but since we're talking mothers over 40.... My husband and I are working towards IVF in July using donor sperm and eggs. I'm 45.

Scared: not really, I feel better now than I have in years after being diagnosed last year with ceiliac disease. However, I do have flashes of anxiety thinking... am I really going to do this again at the age of 45? We've now decided on two. Praying for twins so I dont have to go through two pregnancies. (I have two boys 18 and 15 yrs old.)

  • You can do it! Especially if you already have had babies. I was 39 when I was implanted and 40 when I gave birth to my daughter. This was my first time doing IVF and having a baby and my pregnancy went wonderful. I exercised a lot before and while pregnant to prepare my body (except for just after implantation) . Go for it!
  • I had my twin girls at age 42. Don't give up. It may take a little extra effort but it is well worth it!
  • Thats good to know You dont have to be scared about being pregnant. It is actually another form of a blessing. It is normal to feel dizzy or have some vomiting from time to time especially during that stage. Although pregnancies differ from one person to another person. In my case, I did not vomit at all except for a bit nausea.
