Donor Siblings?
I am currently pregnant with a baby boy, and due summer 2012. Last I checked, donor 2961 has between 5-10 successful pregnancies. I do not know what role I want the other families to play in my son's life, but I am curious if any of you are out there. I hope that all of your children are happy and healthy!

Hi, and congratulations! I have a daughter from donor 2961, just over a year old now. She is a great joy, we are very blessed. Like you, we're not sure what the future might hold regarding siblings etc. That's mostly why I didn't post first as I wasn't sure what to say. Hehe, I'm still not. But it's good to know there is this forum

Hello, I am in the same situation about not being sure on how to handle donor siblings, but we will see? But for know I am going to enjoy spending all the time possible with my little girl by donor 2961. She is 10wks old and doing great!!! So Cute!! I wish you the best with your little boy on the way. I know he will be precious!

Wow, this is so amazing! I wasn't sure if anyone would ever respond! I was so nervous about writing the original post, and almost didn't follow through. Congratulations to both of you on your daughters, it is so amazing to picture actual children from our donor. I figure that all of his offspring would be, at the very oldest, toddlers right now (he only started donating in 2009).
I'm not sure what situation led your families to seek out a sperm donor. In my case, I am a single mom by choice. I just never met Mr. Right, and I was worried that if I waited too long, I wouldn't be able to have children. I am now about 6 weeks away from having my son, and so curious what he will be like. -
I am in the same boat as you. I am a single mom by choice as well. I never meet the right fellow and am not getting any younger. So, I decided to go for it on my own and I don't regret it for a moment. The first time I saw my daughter, I knew I would never have any second thoughts!! Best wishes! I know you can't wait for your little one to arrive!

My son is 4 months old already, I can't believe how quickly it has flown by! He is the most wonderful little person, though I probably don't need to tell you all that since our children share half their genetic makeup! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their family time.

I'm not really sure if anyone is actually checking in here or not. Four of us single moms by choice (that used donor 2961) have found each other on Facebook. We started a private FB page to keep in contact, and are hoping to meet this summer. Hopefully, over time, other families will join us! We were able to find each other from the CLI Facebook page.

Hi Ladies, I am also a single mom by choice and recently gave birth to a beautiful little girl from donor number 2961. She is 5 weeks old. I would love to find the private page as well. Hope all the Moms and little ones are doing well!

Sorry, I kind of forgot to mention that whole finding us part! If you go on the CLI Facebook page, and look for a post about Donor 2961 that was written back in July (24-25ish?) 2012. Several of us are talking about using our donor. My name is Ali. Feel free to send me a private message, I do check my "other" Facebook messages every few days or so. I would be happy to add families to the group. I love that technology is making it possible for all of us to connect!
