Our Boys
Not sure if anyone will see this, but I wanted to share our status.
Wow! I think every post on here is about daughters! We really wanted at least one girl, but that didn't work out lol. We love our boys, born late 2010 and early 2015. We found about the heart issues after our first, but really wanted full or at least half siblings. I had the first, my wife tried for the second, but was unable to get pregnant, then I had our second. 14 tries in all
As of last fall, we would have described our boys as typical and outgoing, but also combative. The oldest is artistic and moody- not very sporty (all like me). The youngest is very short in stature, but does not have hyperthyroidism. He does have Duane Syndrome, which is just a disabled nerve on the outside of one eye (the left eye can't move to the left) - nothing can be done about it. He is very talkative and silly. Recently, we found out the youngest has a sensory disorder, likely high-functioning autism (pending testing). And the oldest is twice-exceptional- he has dyslexia with a very high IQ which explains a lot of his frustration issues with school and at home.
I don't know where exactly this all comes from. I found out there is one child (my second cousin's child) with autism on my mother's side. I am short, as was a grandmother and a grandfather. No one I know has a high IQ to or Duane syndrome. But I wanted to share just in case it can help anyone with children like ours. I don't share to halt anyone from using this donor, although I know it can only be for offspring at this point. They are really special and amazing kids.
