meds for TTC and success stories

I am curious about meds being used to conceive while using a donor and IUI. What are you taking or have you taken? What kind of results are you getting? Any weird side effects?

With my first pregnancy we tried 3 IUI's with no meds, we only have male factor IF so we thought it would be wham bam. When those failed, I did 2 IUI's on Clomid, they also failed. I did one more IUI on 100mg of Clomid and added a trigger shot, that worked and we had the triplets. For this second pregnancy (I am due 12/10) we went right back to what worked with the trio but found I was not responding as well to the Clomid. After 1 failed IUI and a couple that were called off for lack of resp. I went to injectable meds. 1st IUI on injectable meds I got pregnant with this baby boy. Good luck!

We used clomid oral, for one month, had the ultra sound which showed two eggs which were ready, and did the IUI. We will have our child on/about April 18, 2011. Everything just seemed to fall into place. Good luck with everything.

Great news. I have noticed several multiples, twins and triplets. What are the odds on Lortizole for multiples? This is my 6th IUI in 2 days and I am curious. :o

I had only produced an average of three eggs. I did 11 inseminations, 4 in Vitro. What I know now, my protocol would be so much different. I would have only attempted 4 inseminations with no pill (except vitamin type pills) - all injections. My protocol for in Vitro: Low dose aspirn, progesterone, estrace, lupron. folic acid, prenatal vitamins, gonal-f, follistim, ovidrel, crinone cream, doxycycline after IUI only. No side effects from any combinations my doctor tried. Be positive and take more control of your protocol. Almost two years went by with 11 IUI. in Vitro is not difficult and shocking your system for only one cycle vs all the attempts at IUI. Hoping one cycle will be your blessing. My situation was only 3 eggs and age.

We were dealing with male factor only, so we didnt stim at all. We did monitor the cycle and use a trigger shot and then progesterone suppositories.

We used clomid then gonal+F and ovidril. After that, I had estrace and prometrium. (Our first four IUIs without meds didn't work, so the doctor put me on some, then upped them a little the second time. I had monitoring to make sure I didn't produce too many eggs.)
