I'm considering using Donor 2959. He's listed as "yes," pregnancy reported.....just curious what anyone has thought who has used him....Thanks.

So I called Fairfax....and if anyone is considering #2959, he has reported pregnancies, 1-5 (they only give you range...don't give you exact number). and no reported births....but that may be because no one has reported it. it's a little disappointing, but i'm hopeful that someone did have a baby....

That concerns me...especially since when I used 2959 last time I asked if he had enough vials in case I wanted to buy more in the future and they said they could tell me he had over 50 vials for IUI. So...that many vials and only 1-5 reported pregnancies? That alone with the fact that I only got 3million motile sperm in my last vial makes me seriously consider another donor the next go round. Because I really feel like I'm gonna start any day now. I'm supposed to start either today or tomorrow. I don't feel like it worked. But, I have no idea what that bleeding could have been earlier this week.

I know you weren't trying to discourage me. This two week wait thing has been soooo long. And I'm just frustrated. But, if it doesn't work we'll see what fairfax is willing to do. I may try another donor. I haven't thought that far ahead yet. When is your next try?

I started today. I'm like clockwork...28 days and boom! No more waiting. I have to call the doctor tomorrow. I'm fine though. I'm really not upset. I didn't feel it. The only thing that threw me off was the bleeding on like the 9th day. But, I'll definitely try again. Not sure if I'll use the same donor due to the low counts. I'm just not sure if I want to take that risk again...go through all this and then get to the IUI day and find out the counts were low again. I need all I can get!
I'll definitely think about you this weekend! Positive thoughts! Please keep me updated! Let me know how his counts were this time for you. How many IUI's have you had if you don't mind me asking? Is this number 2?

So BFN!!! I'm super disappointed....but don't want to discourage anyone who is using #2959....hopefully one of you will say you are pregnant!!! B/c I'm debating which donor to use for my next 2 IUIs....should I continue using #2959 or move on....so confused....

Oh Maria I am soooo sorry!!! I logged on this morning hoping someone had good news. I didn't even get to try my follies just werent big enough, so now waiting till next month... I was hoping good news for you. As for switching donors I am not answers because I havent even gotten to try and I am not sure how many pregancies he has reported at this time. Keep you chin up and Ill listen if you need to vent... prayers for next month coming your way!!!

I'm sorry blagraves....the clomid didn't help? were you on 50 mg or 100 mg? i had problems too with ovulation so the clomid 50 mg helped a lot! but now i'm going to ask my doctor if i should try 100 mg. i was pretty devastated this cycle...i tried 2 IUIs with donor #2959....i think i'm going to move on to another donor. i think i'm going to use #2976!

Thanks Marie for the encouragement.. I was on Clomid 50mg and didnt help at all. So trying clomid 100mg next month to see how things go. I am so glad that you ladies are here for me to share experiences with... I wish you luck and praying hard on your next IUI!!! Please keep me posted... one of us is bound to have good news!!

I am new to this and really want to have my first IUI next month so Im trying to find my perfect donor. I did a face match using my husband and donor 2959 was a HIGH match. I had a ctually already had him in my favs so I am really excited. Reading everyones post has me a little nervous though. My dr. suggest we do natural IUI's because our fertility is due to male factor and everything has checked out really good with me. If you don't mind me asking...those of you who have not gotten pregnant from this donor using him for the same reasons,or is it a variety of fertility issues?

I am 41 and single, This is going to be my first try with IUI, and just started Gonal injections today.
I am extremely nervous with all of this.
I purchased 3 vials of 2959, after extensive searching for a baby daddy!

Has anyone heard of any successful births from this guy?

I am the proud owner of 3 vials of 2959. I am a first time of IUI and I am extremely nervous.
Today started the Gonal shots. I have another blood and sono on Saturday., Keeping my finger crossed that this works.

2959 was in my top 3 picks. Has anyone heard of a birth from him?

So I'm thinking about using him again...I used him for my first IUIs...then switched....but now there's a lot more reported pregnancies....anyone have any live births yet???

I have been searching for successful births from 2959. I have not found any births but as Farifax has reported he has reported pregnancies.
I am on my second round of IUI with 2959. Going in on Friday or Saturday for insem. Fingers crossed.

Hello,

We used donor 2959 for IUI's and I became pregnant both times. The first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage but the 2nd one resulted in a perfect, beautiful, healthy little girl in January. ) We have 2 more vials left and will possibly try for another in a year or 2.
