My wife and I are going for our first IUI Friday. I have to give her the HCG (I think that is what is called) shot tonight between 6-9. Wish us luck!! We should know if it took on New Year's Eve. How great would that be to bring in the new year with a positive?? :D

    Good luck! And even if it doesn't work, just keep telling yourself it was only your first try - it seems like a lot of us have gotten pregnant on try number 6, so don't give up!

    Thanks for the luck. Unfortunately our fertility MD will only let us try 3 times due to some medical problems my wife has. I guess it is a little more nerve racking knowing that we are capped on the amount of tries that we have. I'm hoping to have great luck and get a positive one of the 3 tries. :D

    Thanks to everyone for the good luck wishes. We had 14 million swimmers which was great. The specimen was almost exactly 2 years old so we were happy with the count. The procedure went well....now its just time to wait. We should know by New Years Eve. Will keep everyone posted.

    After our TWW, we just got confirmation of pregnancy! :)

    Congratulations! That is such great news! My partner and I are going for our first IUI on or around January 14th. We are extremely nervous, but very excited. As you very well know reading statistics of positive pregnancies on the first try is not very high. That's why we are keeping our fingers crossed that we too are in the small percentage of first try IUI's:) If you don't mind me asking, what meds, if any was your wife taking? My doc is putting me on clomid for days 5-10, then an ultrasound to check follicle size to determine if we are able to proceed with the insemination. Congrats once again...hope your baby dust rubs off on us!

    Hello. I know, I felt that she and I were extremely fortunate. The only thing our doctor did was have her take femera on days 3-7, I believe and then we had the ultrasound. The night before our insemination, I had to give her a hcg shot. That was it. I'm for sure sending baby dust your way and I will keep you guys in my thoughts! Anything else, just ask!
