How Long to Store Donor Sperm?

Hi everyone,
So we bought 6 vials of sperm and have only used 3 vials. I'm now 11 weeks pregnant (via IUI and injectibles) - yippee! So my question is this: we have no intention of having any siblings (this baby will already have 2 step-siblings) and so I was wondering how long to keep the other 3 vials before asking for a buy-back from Fairfax? Should we wait until the baby is born (Sept 2011) or do it now or some other time frame? I guess the only disadvantage of storing the sperm for another 6 months is the storage costs, currently $40 per month ($240). It's not a lot of money, but I wondered if anyone had any thoughts about how to approach this.
Thanks so much!

I also have a related question....besides buy-back to Fairfax....can we donate/give unused vials? Or we can only do it through Fairfax?

I actually had this question answered for me today because I have one embryo left I wished to donate. We used an anonymous sperm donor so do not have his permission to donate to others.

I thought you could? There are always people asking for extra vials or offering them... -
this is a very deep and personal choice...i say store forever or until the child is at least 5...

A friend of mine used fairfax donor sperm. She bought 6 vials and got pregnant on the first IUI. She had no intention of ever having siblings. In fact, she was head strong against it. However, once her baby reached 1 year old, she changed her mind.
My advice is to hold onto the sperm just for a little while. Who knows how the next 12 months might change your mind about siblings.
