Donor 2834

My partner and I have been together for 7 years and decided 2 years ago that it was time to start a family. We went through 6 unsuccessful rounds of AI with another donor and decided it was not meant to be with that donor. We then found donor 2834 and he was perfect for us. We wanted to find someone that had features and a personality similar to me as my partner was the one that carried for us. I am Italian, German and Irish with blue eyes and brown hair just like our donor. Also like me, he enjoys life and tries not to take things too seriously. He also admires honesty which is a very important character trait to both my partner and I.
The thing that put the icing on the cake for us was his answer to the question, "When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?"
This was his answer: "Fortunately, I consider myself raised by parents who taught me important morals. I learned that being honest, offering compassion, and upholding work ethic can get you far. I would teach my children the same lessons but also to undestand the importance of making choices in life which make them happy. I would explain that making decisions based on money or the opinions of other would never fulfill you."
We cannot wait to share that with our son!
Not only did we switch donors, but we also switched to IVF and we were successful on the first try. Our son was born on November 30th, 2010. He is perfect and we couldn't be happier!
We have one vial of our donor's specimen left as that was all that was available. We are hoping that we will be able to have another child from the same donor when we try again in about a year.
We registered for the private forum for donor 2834 and we hope to connect with others that have had successful pregnancies with this donor. We would love to hear your stories, see pictures of your children and keep in touch.

I know this is years later, as you BEAUTIFUL son is 7 now! But my wife & I are looking at donor 2834 and we are really liking everything so far! I was wondering if we could see a photo of your son whos a little older now from that photo from seven years ago! I think we will be going with him as he meets everything for us! So our children will be half siblings!
