No Sign of Ovulation and a Ticking Tank

I'm in the prom dress, all decked out, the limo is waiting outside and I have no idea when the prom is!
I've been tracking ovulation for 2 months now and this month we decided to take the plunge. I typically range between a 27-29 day cycle depending on the stressors in my life and now, on day 16 of of my latest cycle I'm still not ovulating...
January I ovulated on day 15 and had a 29 day cycle, February I ovulated on day 14 and had a 27 day cycle. I'm now on day 16 and still no sign of ovulating.
I've been watching my BBT and typically I'll get a drop in temp the day before and then a large rise the day I ovulate. This month...no drop, no rise. Or at least nothing close to the last two months. My Ovulation kit tests are all coming back negative too, two different packs to make sure one isn't bad. I'm testing 2-3 times a day for the last two days and nothing.
My tank is sitting on my counter...waiting....and my partner is getting agitated. Is it today? What about tomorow, what about Wednesday? I have no idea! We've got $550 worth of specimen sitting there and no clue as to whether we should just do it tonight and keep our fingers crossed, wait until tomorrow and hope for a sign, wait until the very last second and we have to send the tank back? The stress of waiting alone could be causing the problem but I'm so thrown that I'm second-guessing everything.
Has anyone else gone through this? Is this just my body reacting to the stress I'm under? Should I do it sooner rather than later in case my temps are wrong and the tests are wrong? If we inseminate tonight and I don't ovulate until Wednesday or Thursday is this month's attempt a bust?
