I'll try to make it short . In 2005 after 1 yr. of marriage my dh and attempted to start a family. We tried for a yrwith no success. I was already 33. We decided to seek help. I went to the Gyno and she suggested Dh have a sperm analysis. I came back zero sperm. dh's testicles were undescended at birth and they did not discover this til he was 8 yrs. old . He had surgery to pull them down but one went back up.We went to a urologist and were told Dh might have sperm but we would need to do ICSI and since the specialist was not under our in surance and it cost $5,00 to just look to see if there were any and another $10,00 to have IVF ANother thing not covered by insurance we painfully decided we could not do this Our only option was donor sperm. It took another year of praying, talking and alot of test for me. I have PCOS and hypothyroidism . To finally decide to try IUI with donor sperm. We tried in May 2007 and it did not work. I had issues with are doctor and found another one and tried again in August 2007. I had to take Clomid and a trigger shot but Thankfully I got pregnant. I gave birth to our son April 2008. Dh and I both agrees no one would know we used a donor. Our son has his daddys hair color and body frame. He looks like me in the face when I was little. He is almost 3 . and the love of our lives. Recently Dh and I have thought about trying for another. Financially I will probably be only able to try 2 iuis. I am 38 now and I also need to lose weight. I hope to be seeing the fertility specialist soon to see if a pregnancy is possible. I also had polyps in my uterus removed two moths before I conceived our son. I hope we are blessed with another miracle this year. My husband loves our son and neither he or I really think about how he was conceived. I always say he was conceived by us both the day we both went to get pregnant. Just thought I would share our story. I hope all of you are blessed witha miracle soon.
