We are considering Donor 2984. No known pregnancies listed. Any one use this donor or considering to use him?

I dont have any personal experience with known donors, but those who have gone that route are typically very glad they did. Im sure there will be others to asnwer your question too.
If you decide to do this, there are lots of things to consider before you do -- like the relationship with the child, if they will be told how they were conceived and that you were the donor etc etc. I think akk of you going to a counsellor would be a wonderful start.

My wife allowed me to chose our donor since I do not desire to carry a child and desire to have similar characteristics to myself. I chose him over other donors for various reasons. He is 6'2" and I'm 6'1" and come from a VERY tall family - I am on the shorter side in my family. I also really liked that he is into working out and supplement usage, which is a very important part of my life - I lift weights 6 days a week for about 2 hours a day and have a supplement regime as well. His SAT score and GPA's were quite important in using him as a donor as well as the degree he is working on. I am in the process of obtaining my CPA license and he is minoring in Finance and desires to obtain his MBA. My wife is CMV negative and so is he, which was ideal. I also really liked his overall personality, healthy family background, audio interview, and Lifetime Pictures that we purchased prior to deciding on him as our donor.
We're hoping that my wife will conceive easily via IUI since she doesn't actually have any fertility issues and ideally would love to have two children by the same donor. Hopefully we purchased enough vials to make this happen or he'll still be available if we need more vials!
Congrats on your decision and good luck with the iui. We also decided to go with 2984. We bought several vials also with the idea that we would want two kids with the same donor. We will start in August with our first IUI, no known fertility issues so will probably go the non-medicated route. I know that he started the donor program this past September, and the first pregnancy was reported within the past month. Since the specimans were in quarantine for six months, it looks like someone got pregnant on the first try. Hopefully this is a good sign about motility!
Well I just started searching on this site for a donor and found a few that I thought would be good matches 2984 was one of my top picks... This process is very new to me so I am just checking around to see what everyone has to say on the Donors I been searching... Good Luck to you all
I thought that I would post an update. We started the insemination process in August of 2011. My wife was put on chlomid and produced 9 mature eggs. Hence, we did not inseminate that cycle! We went with a natural cycle in September of 2011 and she produced 2 mature eggs; so, we inseminated on September 10th and 11th. Yesterday, we learned that she is pregnant! First try was the charm for us!
