PCOS ovulation prediction

Hi everyone - so glad I found this. I've been looking on this site forever! I am RH negative and CMV negative, so finding sperm was like a needle in a haystack. Anyway...
I have PCOS so my dr. said that the pee test for ovulation may not be predictable because my LH is usually high with PCOS. My cycle is usually 30 days or more so I'm thinking that I ovulate around day 14 or 15? I tried to take my temperature every morning for about 6 weeks, and the data showed nothing because I'm a restless sleeper, apparently. So...
Is there anyone else who is able to predict their ovulation pretty well with PCOS? I read about the mucous testing thing, and I'm not sure I'm seeing things right. I haven't had my first AT cycle yet, so does the dr. test for ovulation before trying it? I'd guess not, since they have to thaw the sperm before I get there...
I hope this all makes sense, as the night is getting late and I've been on this site for yet another few hours looking at the donors...
I'm going to start a low does of clomid soon, too. Hopefully that will make predicting it easier.
Thanks, everyone, and good luck to you all!

I hope all has been well for you. I am also rh negative and cmv negative but i have to say although there are not many donor in this catagory I do think they are all good ones. We chose 4187 and have been very happy so far. How did your first iui go?
