first time and excited and scared

Hello everyone
Well I turned 40 and off I went to discuss my options and within that first meeting since I was cd3 I started that day. I have now taken my HCG shot last nite since the doctor said I was ready to go. I have somewhere between 15 to 18 sacs mostly all 18 to 21 (OUCH) and going in tomorrow for ER. I'm so excited and of course scared at the same time. This is my first time doing this and I'm praying for the best as I'm sure we all do. I'm single and wondering how to tell any child/children who their father is. I picked an open donor with lifetime photos so I could display his photos around the house so at least they have something to see. I don't know if I can take the waiting to see if the transfer takes. Pray pray pray. :D

    Good luck NatashaG!

No one can tell you what to say, what you decide has to work for you. But - remember, you'll have lots of people asking questions, and lots of practice to become confident and 100% comfortable talking about it by the time your child is old enough to understand.

Now, the other factor is - think of how many people were "accidents". You can confidently tell your child "I wanted you so much that I simply couldn't wait any longer to plan you coming into my world."

    Thanks Maria and Sibemom

I went for my ER and had 25 eggs, wow is all I can say. So far 10 have fertilized now I have to wait till Monday morning for an update. Its driving me crazy lol. Transfer is set for Wednesday I'm so happy. I hope for the best!

I have no problem telling people they all know I've wanted a family for so long and I've been talking about using a donor from the start. I chose an open donor for the hopes that my child when 18 will have the chance to find where the other half of them come from. I have 3 brothers so I feel I'll have enough men around for the child.

We all are wondering what happened after your ER?? Please give us an update :P
It sounded like the meds really helped with the follicle production. What injections did you use? Did you try IUI or start out with IVF? Hope that the transfer went well and that you have a few sticky beans!
