For those of us seeking a little reassurance!

Would just like to ask those of you ladies who have been successful.... How many attempts did you have at IUI? What meds were used? How many follicles? Any other advice? :roll: Good luck to all the hopeful mommies and daddies.

Pregnancy #1 took 6 IUI's. 1st 3 were unmedicated and unmonitored. The next 2 were on 100mg of Clomid but still unmonitored. #6 was 100mg Clomid + 2 ultrasounds for monitoring and timing and a trigger shot. I had 4 follies and we got pregnant with triplets.

Pregnancy #2 took 2 IUI's. We tried once on 100mg Clomid plus a couple ultrasounds and a trigger. I didn't respond as well as last time so when that IUI failed we tried a low dose of injectable meds monitoring and trigger for IUI #2. I had 2 follies and we got pregnant with 1 baby.

HIGHLY recommend monitoring by ultrasound and a trigger shot to be sure of perfect timing. For me the OPK's were just not good enough, even though I was getting +'s I was not getting pregnant.

1st 2 IUI's were non medicated with the exception of trigger shot but was monitored via ultrasounds. 1st one I was right off the pill and only got one follie (18) and was unsuccessful. 2nd time non medicated got 2 follies (18 & 21) and was unsuccessful. 3rd time did acupuncture 1x per week 3 weeks prior to IUI and 3 days after and also used injectibles Follistim & Luveris on CD 3-8 and was monitored via ultrasound and got BFP. Had 4 follies on the 3rd time and the smallest was 16. I just found out today though that I had a missed miscarriage (8w3d) so I'll be trying again using the injectibles and acupunture in a couple of months after I've had a couple of regular cycles.
