How long to pick

Hi we are just beginning looking for donor sperm. Can you tell me on average how long it took you guys to pick a donor. Thanks

It didn't take us very long at all. We looked through the profiles every two months or so for about a year, putting in the one's we liked into our favorites as we went. When it came down to the month before our IUI, we got serious. I used the search abilities to narrow down everyone, but I also used the facial matching feature. That made it much easier! I only had about 6 people to decide from bc I wanted one that looked like me. The first one we thought about going with had attached earlobes so he was out. When we were pretty sure we ordered the complete file on the donor (no photos though) so we knew everything about his face shape, his family background, his grades in school etc. That was the guy we went with. After we got serious, I'd say we did it in a matter of days.
