I am new to this site and we are looking for a potential donor. This is all so overwhelming to me and I THINK # 4026 looks like a good candidate. Ahhhhhhhh.. but not sure yet. Has anyone used this donor before??

It is overwhelming. We are currently pregnant from our third try with 4026 (1 ICI, 2 at home IUIs, all unmedicated). He was the only donor we tried with.

    Good luck!
  • howdyhowdy Member Member
@Zunzun- may I ask how many vials you got from him? When you say it's your third time.. does it mean you got 3 vials? My Dr told me to go ahead and purchase 2. And how long did you wait in between to keep trying?

Sorry for all the questions.. :|
  • zunzunzunzun Junior Member Junior Member
We tried one vial the first time, for the ICI. After that, we took two cycles off for the holidays. When we started back up, we did two months in a row, with two vials each. So, we did two IUIs two months in a row (and we're pretty sure the very last one took!).

In other words, we ended up using 5 vials total.

    Good luck!

Congrats cassanova. And good luck howdy. Hang in there the last couple days are THE WORST!
  • roby72roby72 Member Member
    Dear howdy,

I really hope your second attempt will be good news. But don't worry, usually it takes a few tries, which is normal, and the wait and patience is definitely worth it.
Then when your test turns positive you have millions of other scary things and questions in your mind...it doesn't stop there at the positive. For me every day is a blessing, especially the first few weeks when I was cramping like crazy, I was scared to go to the bathroom every time for the fear of bleeding. I am grateful for every day that passes by and thanks to the nausea that reassures me that things are going just fine.

Hang in there the right moment with she/he will decide to come is near, and will be perfect!
    Take care,
    Roberta

Thank you! Don't get discouraged my doc told me it usually takes 3-4 tries..Very unusual for it to take first try...Once it takes it is a whole other roller coaster of emotions...Will be happy to hear a heartbeat...Goodluck... ;)
  • hopefulcharhopefulchar Senior Member Senior Member

I just posted but wanted to add that with one vial of 4026 and my partners eggs - they retrieved 16 eggs from her (she's 32) and put it with one IVF vial from 4026 and 15 fertilized!!! that is amazing! Since we had so many, we chose to go to day 5 blastocyst stage to have the best chances with what we put in and ended up with 7 amazing quality embryos! The techs said they were the best embryos they had seen in a long time! They put in two and I'm 20 weeks pregnant with twin boys. If we had stopped at day 3, we probably would have had most of the 15. That's amazing! So I do think that 4026 is a very fertile young man! LOL!

  • howdyhowdy Member Member
Hey pixie! Im doing great actually. Just sleepy ALLLLLL THE TIIIIIME! geez! Its hard to stay awake !! Sometimes I have to get up from my desk and walk around!

As far as other symptoms.. nothing else. No nausea. Nothing. Sometimes I don't feel pregnant. Does that make sense? Ahhh but i feel so incredibley happy and my stomach is getting hard.. so I know something is happening! It's just hard not to go crazy.. ugh.. i hate being paranoid and thinking the worst. That's bad huh?

Anywho.. my US is tomorrow!!! we get to see a heartbeat!! I know I'm going to break down and cry. I can't wait!!!!!!

    How are you doing?

I'm doing fine, I had terrible tiredness too in first twelve weeks but luckily past all that, feel really good. I think I am starting to feel a few baby movements now, but maybe wishful thinking!
Good luck and enjoy meeting little bean tomorrow!
