    Hi Melanie!

I just had IUI this past Sunday (05/29/11). Obviously, too early to tell if it worked as I am slowly dragging myself through this two week wait but I will check back and let you know. Are you using 4004 as well or just trying to decide?

    Hi Melanie!

I got a postive HPT today, also had beta done today and most definitely positive! :D

    Best of luck to you

Big congrats on your positive How many tries did it take you?
  • JackieJackie Junior Member
Surprisingly, This was my first try. Did 50 of clomid days 5-9 of cycle, used an OPK to determine LH surge and had IUI next day. Apparently, everything was timed perfectly!

I haven't been on this site in a little while, but we used this donor and had our beautiful baby girl this past June. We were lucky, and it only took us one cycle also. Good luck on whatever you choose!
  • JackieJackie Junior Member
Congratulations Babydreaming!!! I haven't posted since I found out I was pregnant in June. I have had an amazing pregnancy and it has been a whirlwind couple of months! Since I last posted I found out that I am patiently waiting the arrival of my boy/girl twins!

Congrats Jackie! We would have loved twins, but we're definitely happy with what we were blessed with. We would like to eventually try again to give her a brother or sister, but we'll have to choose a different donor because they don't have any more vials from this donor.

Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy!

We have 4004 in storage and will try for 1st time the end of November (most likely)

Best of luck to you! :D

Well I will be having my 5th IUI in a couple of days and have chosen to go with this donor. Can anyone tell me what their #'s were? I have two vials waiting and hopefully I won't have to use both. ;)
  • JackieJackie Junior Member
Hi Sweetpea, what numbers are you looking for?
  • sweetpeasweetpea Member Member
The sperm count was what I was wanting to know. I just had my IUI yesterday and they had to use two vials just to get to 10.9 million. We were a little bummed, but at least we had two vials for them to use! I will take my test on 11-17. Hope this 5th one sticks! :D

    Sweetpea,

Will your doc report that to Fairfax so that if its not successful they will give a refund or something?? Good luck I hope the 2 samples work so that you dont have to worry about that...if it works then using 2 is not a big deal!!!
  • sweetpeasweetpea Member Member
Yep, I have my doctor working on the paper work. This is the second month that the counts were low, but like you said, if it works, I really don't care!
  • JackieJackie Junior Member
I don't remember what exactly my doc said the sperm count was - I remember him saying it was good but that's it. Best of luck to you that this one works for you! Keep us updated! :D

Ohhh, Sweetpea! I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for you! As you probably already know I also had my 5th IUI with a different donor and needed to combine my two vials. I probably would have had about 15-20 million if I chose to do back to back instead of the one combined IUI. But I didn't want to gamble so my combined count was 39 million. Just remember it really doesn't take a huge amount of sperm to do the trick. I think my fertility center looks for atleast 5 million as a good number for IUIs. I hope that you get through the TWW without too much stress about things and come out on the other side with a BFP :D

    Good Luck

I really think it is because we did the ICI vials and had them washed. Maybe we go back to the IUI vials next month.

Ugggh! I am getting so frustrated ... I had to skip the IUI for October because my doctor was off the whole week that I ovulated... SO, I patiently waited and now I just realized that I won't be able to do it this month either because it bumps right into Thanksgiving! So next month now I'm worrying about Christmas!! :(
  • Nik2UTNik2UT Junior Member Junior Member
We were successful on the 3rd IUI with 4004. Our daughter was born (12/18/10). She is healthy, smart and beautiful! We could not be happier with our choice!!!
  • JackieJackie Junior Member
I say get a new doctor!! Mine, his partner or a another doc were always on call so the no one had to wait. My IUI was done on Memorial Day! :D Good luck!!!

Wow! I've never heard of such a situation. That just sets you up for a very frustrating journey which is something you should minimize. There are enough challenges to face trying to conceive without being nervous about your cycle not corresponding to your doctor's holiday schedule...That's just difficult to wrap my head around. My fertility facility is open 365 days (holidays and weekends between 7am and 11 am) and they fit you in if you need to have an IUI on whatever holiday it may be. You should really find another facility and doctor that can meet your needs. Good luck.

Well, I guess, in all fairness.... It's not really a fertility clinic. (There aren't ANY fertility clinics around here, SO I am trying not to push my luck.) It's just an OBGYN clinic. So, she already gets the short end of the stick and has to see all the crazy cases that come in through the ER when she's on call. It's just tough waiting 3 months to even start the process... when I'm already worrying about how long it's going to take to get pregnant in the first place! YIKES!
  • SaraBellSaraBell Junior Member Junior Member
The roller coaster is now going up hill... I started early which was AWESOME! So now I am on CD7 and 3rd day of clomid 50mg. We are going for our very first IUI December 22nd and 23rd.
  • JackieJackie Junior Member
Best of luck Sarabell, I hope you get your Christmas miracle!

We completed the first IUI with 4004! YAY! But now I am a little worried because of the timing... I did an IUI yesterday and then recieved a trigger and was scheduled to do IUI today, but something happened with the second sample and we were unable to complete the second IUI. For those of you that became pregnant with 4004, how did you time things out? I'm just a little nervous... And I am hoping 4004 has strong little swimmers that live for long periods of time. Do any of you know about how long of a lapse there was between your actual ovulation and the IUI? AND- I am begininng to feel like a crazy person, is this normal?
  • JackieJackie Junior Member
Hi I used the opk and had LH surge 11 am on Saturday. 1130 am on Sunday ultrasound was done and it showed i ovulated already! I had IUI done Sunday 1130 am.. It worked the first time !! Best of luck!!!

Btw Jackie, how's your pregnancy coming?
  • JackieJackie Junior Member
Hanging in there! I was admitted last night to the hospital. I'm starting to dilate so the put me in to try to slow things down. Hopefully, I can make it another two weeks before the twins make their debut! Merry Christmas!
