First IUI

So my partner and I went in for our first insemination today!! The doc wants me back tomorrow too to do a second insemination. He is hoping this will work out for our first time trying to get pregnant. We are hoping he is right I do want to ask if any other women experienced any cramping after an IUI? I know during the procedure that is normal but I'm still slightly crampy. I'm not really trying to be concerned but was just curious. Oh and anyone who has had IUI has their docs given them a script for Endometrin? It's progesterone in a pill form that has to be inserted vaginally twice daily. It's also used for 10 weeks during the first trimester.
Thanks, Kathleen

I take Endometrin, as well, only for the entire pregnancy, to improve a low progesterone. I think it works better than the other suppositories, as it's made to dissolve and be absorbed when you insert them. I forget the other name I was taking, but they were progesterone tablets that could also be taken orally, and weren't meant specifically for being absorbed. Felt like the entire pills just oozed out, and my progesterone levels were not as high as they are now on the Endometrin.
As for side effects, I didn't notice any "extra" moodiness with Endometrin. I attributed any irritability to the stress of the 2 week wait!
I hope you get some good news soon...

And my insurance does not cover the Endometrin, but I only paid $40 for three boxes, I think that's a month's supply. (20 per box?)
I'm blessed to work for the state, and have really good insurance (for now anyway, we'll see what the next budget negotiations bring!)
FYI, if you used a "trigger shot" of HcG for your ovulation prior to insemination, it can cause a false positive on the urine pregnancy test, so be careful! That was the only thing keeping me from going broke peeing on sticks after every insemination. Once my doctor said I could get a false positive, it cured the "itch" to go buy kit after kit.
Here's hoping for a BFP!
