At home testing

Hello again everyone, So I had two inseminations 9 days ago. I unfortunately have no patience and I took an at home First Response test yesterday. One was late in the day and one was early this morning. Both had a very faint pink line. I talked to a woman I work with with fertility issues and she stated the obvious that yes it is still too early to know for sure but to take a digital test. So of course after work I run to the store and get the Clear Blue easy and it says NOT PREGNANT in big bold letters!! Just curious if anyone has every taken different at home tests that had different results? Well needless to say, I feel bummed but I am going to stop with the at home test and wait for the bloodwrk. I just have that feeling that it is going to take longer to make this happen. Patience is a virtue is what I keep reminding myself :) Thank you for everyone that responds and reads my posts. It's so nice to have other people who know what your going through.

a faint pink line is a good sign but only go by the test that you took in the morning. On all the at home kits it will tell you that the first morning urine is the one you should use so I wouldn't get discouraged by the "not pregnant" on the digital. I have found that testing 5 to 6 days early is just unfair to myself. It is not very accurate and it will send you on an emotional roller coaster. If you find that cant wait it out until the end that a day or two prior to your period is the best shot at an accurate result. Let yourself have a few more days to imagine that your pregnant and you will enjoy the process a little more.

Of course my advice is sooo much easier said than done. The first 6 months that my husband and I were trying before we found out he has no sperm I would test a week early...every month my boobs hurt, some months I was nauseous and some months I had an elevated temperature. Of course these all ended up to be in my mind because my husband didn't even have any sperm..haha. Joke was on me.

Last month I had an iui done and I had the willpower to wait it out until the end..getting my period was the saddest thing ever. My period is due on Monday or Tuesday and I am going to take it a day or two early.

Lots of luck to you and keep me posted on your positive :)

I agree with char. I would only test in the morning as later in the day there may not be enough of the hcg in your system. I think that most tests are pretty much the same. I don't think you should get different results from different tests. That being said, it is probably too early to tell, so don't freak yourself out too much. I know that is easier said than done. I take the tww to imagine that I am pregnant, that helps me to push off the test until 16 days after the trigger shot. Kepp your positive thoughts flowing!! Lots opf sticky baby dust sent your way!
