DONOR **2849**

moewhitmoewhit Senior Member
Just wanted to hear about experiences with donor 2849. He's no longer in the program but I guess 2 units were sold back to Fairfax. He has lots of confirmed pregnancies and I don't want to use my previous donor who finally got ONE confirmed pregnancy after 7-8 months of selling out of units.

Thanks for sharing!

    Hi there!
Congrats on your baby boy!! Did you do IUI or IVF? How many tries did it take before you had success? I was hoping to use one of the two vials that someone sold back but last week my cycle was cancelled. At some point perhaps a couple of months, I will try my 5th IUI with this donor. It will be my first time with donor 2849 and if it works I will be happy to transfer the remaining vial to you. I would want to wait until after that first trimester just to be sure. But would love hear about your experiences!!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Moe, I'm here online almost a decade later ... thinking now about searching for half sibs for our son who was an IVF birth using 2849. Before my son turned two my partner was diagnosed with cancer and everything kind of fell apart. My kiddo, now almost 9, is wishing a lot for siblings. I'm way too old to give him one now but would love to find him one or more. I sincerely hope you had success. I'm not sure if it's possible to add a more accessible contact method here, but if it is then please do feel free to try me at kmfv@me.com if you have any interest in connecting.

Hi Kat I have a son from donor 2849 who was born in 2011. We don't have an interest in connecting at this time, but perhaps in the future. I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about your son, any habits he has, what he is like, what his interests are, academic or athletic strengths, etc. My son is very caring, good natured, sweet, well-liked. He was blonde for many years but now his hair is more light brown with blonde streaks. He is lean and medium-tall for his class. He has an analytical mind and loves to read and play team sports and skiing. He has a habit of twisting his shirt collar when he is thinking deeply, he finds it comforting. I hope that you and your son are happy and well. Anne
