Vitamins and other supplements

Even those not trying to get preggers via artificial means use prenatal vitamins and other supplements to heighten their fertility. I'm curious what everyone else is taking, suggested by doctors or not, etc.

Personally, I went with a prenatal after doing some research on my own and then presenting the info on it to my doctor for her thoughts. So, I've been taking Rainbow Light's Just Once - so only one pill a day. I'm pleased that they don't seem to give me crazy dreams like so many gal pals say they had from prenatals. When I was taking two months off I did not take them however, just leading up to an attempt and during waits.

When I talked to the midwife at my practice about how my period seemed to be behaving a bit more erratically since I started trying she suggested Chaste Berry to help regulate my cycles more. So, I started taking Vitex Chaste Tree Berry tabs with my prenatals.

So, what does everyone else use?

I have been taking the gummy prenatal vitamins without iron as well as accupuncture. I hadn't heard that the prenatal vitamins was the cause of the crazy dreams, but I sure have had my share!

I've started prenatals as well and acupuncture too. Haven't heard of or experienced the weird prenatal dreams though, they sound interesting!

For the past year I've been taking Rainbow Light Prenatal One. I take them even the months I'm not going for an IUI. It helps to have a consistent level throughout your cycles. More recently I've included supplemental calcium/mag, omega 3, and a probiotic for digestion.

The crazy dreams are most likely from the hormones not vitamins. When I was on Clomid that was the only time I had wacky vivid dreams. Good luck with your cycle!
